About The Wax Loft
The Wax Loft is a waxing salon in Ann Arbor, owned and operated by licensed estheticians Rebecca Sharp and Stacy Wood.
Since 2009, we’ve focused exclusively on waxing and professional hair removal. Our work is efficient, carefully performed, and centered on client comfort. We believe trust is built over time, and we’re proud to offer a space where people feel familiar, cared for, and at ease from the moment they arrive.
Our Story
Rebecca and Stacy first met in 2005 while working together at a local spa in Ann Arbor.
What began as working side by side gradually turned into conversations about their clients and their work, along with a growing sense that something was missing from the local waxing experience.
As those conversations continued, they built trust and aligned on standards, forming a genuine friendship grounded in respect for one another’s approach.
At the time, waxing was often treated as an add-on service rather than a specialty, which left clients without a dedicated place they could depend on.
Confident in how well they worked together, Rebecca and Stacy decided to create something of their own.
That decision became the foundation for The Wax Loft, an independent salon designed specifically around professional waxing.
From the beginning, the focus was on specialization—approaching each service with experience and a level of care that reflected close attention to detail.
That same focus continues today, guiding how The Wax Loft serves the Ann Arbor community and how each client experience is approached.
With more than a decade of experience, The Wax Loft remains rooted in the values it was founded on, with an emphasis on thoughtful care and maintaining high standards.
Meet the owners
Rebecca Sharp
Rebecca is a co-owner and licensed esthetician at The Wax Loft. She’s known for efficient, precise waxing and for taking the time to make sure clients feel comfortable and informed throughout their service. Rebecca balances hands-on client care with the day-to-day work that keeps the salon running smoothly, helping shape both the experience in the treatment room and behind the scenes. Outside the salon, she enjoys board games, crafting, and spending quality time with loved ones.
Stacy Wood
Stacy is a co-owner and licensed esthetician at The Wax Loft with over 20 years of waxing experience. She’s known for steady, consistent services and for creating an environment where clients feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for. Stacy balances hands-on client work with the operational side of the salon, ensuring a smooth day-to-day flow and a high-quality client experience. Outside of work, she’s an avid reader and loves spending time outdoors, camping, and traveling with family.
